Newly appointed Hezbollah chief Naim Qassem has issued a chilling threat against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, asserting that Netanyahu’s life could be taken by an Israeli citizen. In his first televised address as Hezbollah’s leader, Qassem directly warned Netanyahu, claiming that he narrowly escaped a Hezbollah drone attack on his home. The report was published by the Times of Israel.
Qassem alleged that Netanyahu is gripped by fear, stating, “We have the capability to reach Netanyahu’s residence with a drone. He escaped this time, but one day, it could be an Israeli who ends his life, maybe even during a speech.” He also indicated that Hezbollah’s intelligence channels confirm Netanyahu is highly distressed, knowing he has been marked by the group.
The Hezbollah leader further expressed that military pressure will not drive them back, saying, “The enemy must know that bombing our villages and cities will not push us away.”
On October 21, Hezbollah launched a drone strike targeting Netanyahu’s bedroom at his residence. However, neither Netanyahu nor his family members were present at the time. This escalation adds to the already tense situation in the region, as Israel remains on high alert amid ongoing hostilities with Hezbollah and other groups.
