In a recent discussion held at the Dhakeshwari National Temple in Dhaka, Local Government Advisor A.F. Hasan Arif underscored the importance of seizing the opportunity presented by the student and youth movements to establish a discrimination-free society. He stated that this opportunity must not be wasted, emphasizing the urgent need for action to eliminate disparities created by humans rather than nature.
“Disparity is a creation of mankind, not nature,” Arif remarked. He called for efforts to address and eradicate the inequalities that plague society, advocating for the establishment of a just society characterized by pure intentions. “The aspirations set forth by the student and youth movements to build a discrimination-free nation must be fulfilled,” he added.
Arif expressed concern over the rising inequalities observed in recent years, asserting that the government is actively working to address various forms of discrimination present in society and the state. He highlighted the commitment to reform as a means to eradicate these disparities and urged future governments to continue this essential work.
The event served as a platform to inspire collective action toward achieving a more equitable society, reinforcing the message that the responsibility lies with the community to ensure that the progress made by the student movements is upheld and advanced.
