Sagar Gazi, a Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) student from the Ulania Hat Secondary School and College in Patuakhali, has passed his exams with an impressive GPA of 3.92. Tragically, Sagar was killed during a protest against inequality, leaving behind shattered dreams and grieving loved ones.
Upon receiving the news of her son’s results, Sagar’s mother, Shahida Begum, broke down in tears. “If he were alive, he would have been so happy with this result,” she said, reflecting on his aspirations. Sagar had often spoken about taking charge of the family and had dreams of becoming an engineer after completing his studies.
Sagar’s older brother expressed mixed emotions of joy and sorrow. “I am proud of his achievement, but our family is engulfed in grief. His dreams remain unfulfilled,” he lamented, calling for justice for his brother’s death.
Sagar’s teachers and classmates also mourned his loss, demanding justice for all those who lost their lives in the struggle against inequality. They emphasized that failing to deliver justice for Sagar and other victims would be a betrayal of the blood that was shed.
The community continues to rally for accountability and justice, as Sagar’s legacy lives on through his dreams and the voices of those who remember him.
