On Sunday morning in central Israel, a Palestinian launched a stabbing attack that resulted in the deaths of two people and injuries to two others. Israeli authorities reported that the police subsequently shot and killed the attacker.
The attack took place in Holon, a city near Tel Aviv, during the busy morning hours. The assailant targeted individuals near a gas station and a park with a knife, according to the ambulance service. The deceased were an elderly man and woman. The injured have been taken to the hospital.
Police spokesperson Eli Levy stated that an officer at the scene quickly subdued the attacker, preventing further violence.
The police have gathered extensively at the site and are conducting a thorough search of the area.
