Israeli forces launched another airstrike on Lebanon, destroying a 100-year-old mosque in the village of Kfar Tibnit. The attack occurred at 3:45 AM local time, according to reports from Gulf News. The historic mosque, located 8 kilometers from the border, was completely destroyed, leaving local worshippers without their place of congregation.
Mayor Fouad Yassin of Kfar Tibnit expressed deep sorrow over the destruction, emphasizing the mosque’s cultural and historical significance. “This mosque was 100 years old and a central part of our community, where locals gathered for special events,” he said.
The latest strike is part of ongoing Israeli airstrikes in Lebanon, which have resulted in the deaths of over 1,260 people and displaced more than one million, further deepening the humanitarian crisis in the region. The destruction of this historic mosque marks another blow to the cultural heritage of the area.
